Janet Galant

Janet is a member of Saugeen First Nation #29 and grew up in the city of London.  She joined the corporation in January 2020 bringing a wealth of experience working in First Nations communities. Janet graduated from Fanshawe College’s Architectural Technology program in 2002.  She spent 5 years working in an engineering office in London before leaving for Southern First Nations Secretariat.  This is where Janet found her passion to provide support to the communities wherever she could.  She has provided support to the housing departments and worked as the Public Works Director in Chippewas of the Thames First Nation.  Janet also brings with her Project Management skills gained while at working at Bruce Power.
