Shane hails from Whitefish River First Nation near Manitoulin Island. As a graduate from Cambrian College's Civil Engineering Technology program in 2018, Shane also worked in the construction industry doing residential and commercial builds. Shane has been employed with Waabnoong Bemjiwang Association of First Nations Tribal Council (WBAFN) for the past 5 years working on GIS, Asset Management, Conditional Assessments, and reporting for the community infrastructures. Shane is grateful for the opportunity to work with many First Nations.
